I have another newbie queston. When I place a switch on a wall it flips fine when I hit \"enter\". How do I get the switch to control something like turn on the lights etc ?
Thanks

First off, read the manual please. This question is covered in the manual (Which is bundled with the Trial and Retail versions of FPSC)

Answer:
On the switch under properties "If Used" Type in the name of the entity it will affect (A light or door for example) Make sure the name is spelt correctly. On the door or light make sure it's set to dynamic and that the Main AI script is set correctly.

Thank you.
Hmmm...The manual. When I open it the index lists pages beyond what my document has. I think I have an incomplete manual. Please advise

Using FPI Scripts.

Read the manual, but specifically pages 85 through 90.
That's the part about FPI Scripting which is how you make dynamic entities interact with each other.

If you want to learn more about scripting...
I have an FPI Scripting Tutorial at my website, just click the link below and look for the Add-On.
The Add-On also has several models that have scripts associated with them for scripting examples.

Seems there's more people selling "Add-ons" than people selling games. You didn't mention in your post that this was for sale. I was hoping to get a tutorial on scripts.

Maybe there should be a tagline for this type of stuff. like...

oh well.

The manual is not setup correctly for Acrobat reader, and the pages do not correspond to the table of contents. If you look closely you will notice that the manual has pages side-by-side in the viewer, instead of one below the other. Look for the page numbers at the bottom of each page in the viewer, instead of in the table of contents.
