Hey yall,
I have a simple question that needs answering. How can i position the vertexes on say a knee or a shoulder so that when i animate them they dont go all funky and make big indents.

you need to factor in a few more so they can bend.
you also need to adjust what vertices are attached to certain bones.
its a black art my friend.

make a joint excercise standlaone. once you see how to best make a moving joint with extra vertices and different joint connections, re-apply the technique to your model in question.
