Ok, if you have dynamic lighting turned on, when you shoot the room is lit by a flash.

Is there any way to incorperate this flash on its own? Basically does anyone know what script is used to make that flash happen, and how is it related to the gun?

Im thinking of having a flashlight weapon that has a fire loop of like 1ms so that when you shoot it lights the room like a torch? it'd have no range or damage or anything.

that actually seems like a great idea, it is obvious that the light created follows the players position, so all that is needed is a constant fire, but the constant creation and destruction of new lights seems consuming...

OR, you could model a flashlight, make it a weapon and give it this crosshair

isnt that flash that happens when the gun is fired a animation ? so why not loop the animation into the weapon such as a flash light like evil star said, make a flash light model, then make its fir animation into a looped animation of the light animation caused by the fireing button.

a theory ?

tried it a LOOOONG time ago...

it didnt work, there is no way to loop it that fast, because FPSC doesnt like stuff like that...plus then it gets crazy with bulletholes...

you can go ahead and try, but i spent quite some time on that, and i didnt find a solution...

Well, I guess it was worth a shot. Evil star, I think the idea of making the crosshair the light is not cool, it needs to be dynamic, but if bullshock has not managed it doesn't bode well. I'll give it a go though!!
