I searched the forum already, but can't get the answer I need. I really need help getting my multiplayer games to work. I am able to make the arenas ok, and i can send them to my friends, but when i host the game, and they hit join and type the id number in, it says waiting to join. We have waited for at least 5 minutes and nothing loads. It works on my home network, so i guess a LAN, but not when my friend tries to play at his house. Any good help would be appreciated.

If you're using a home internet connection and it is on dial-up, maybe you are using too much bandwith. This has been a problem for me with Medal of Honour : Allied Assault and GTA Rumble but it worked after I bought a router and I signed up for 1 megabit broadband. I think even a 512k connection should work. Otherwise I don't have many other tips. Lets see what other people say to this.

well, i don't have a problem with connecting on my LAN, it is just when i send it to my friend to play with me. We both connect, i host, he joins, and it just says waiting to join. Is there something special we should be doing? it shouldn't be that hard right?

LAN = high speed.

And your problem is that your IP that is sent is your lan IP... you need to mess with some router settings which I don't know... or connect your computer directly into the cable modem.

download the VPN software at www.hamachi.cc. Create a network, have your friends join, then host the game.
