So I made a dragon, rigged it and got it into the game.

The problem I am having is with the texturing.

Other than trail and error is there some way to find out what something will look like before importing it into the game?

I can put textures on the head for example but it is unpredicable what will happen once its there.

Here are some screenies. Any help would be appreciaited.

Looks very messy, as if you just pulled out all the vertices.

yeah make a dragon. Or something. And animate it, texture it, and get it in game, so we can see how much better it looks.

All that makes a difference. The game engine doesnt render things nearly as well as 3d max. And when you start animating all kinds of wacky stuff happens. Thats when you start finding weaknesses in your models (inconsistansies) and rigging mistakes.

Come to think of it Ive never seen any of your characters in a game.

Id like to see one.

I prefer toy dinosaurs in my fps games rather than dragons anyways. Good job Higgins.
