I got my FPSC to build a game as an exe, but I was wondering if since you are licenced to sell your game, why does it have to be in the name of the FPSC team? I mean, I can give you credit just I would still like my own icon, company name and people not thinking me wrong and thinking I stole this from someone... Is it possible?

Well... There's an inoc changer specificly for FPSC avialible somewhere around here...

Couldn't I just use the normal registry editor? Like : Start>Run>Regedit ?

And icon changer? Know a place to get it?

And in short, I own a small company, and it started up only about a month ago, we're aiming to get a sponsor, and some workers as well as that.
I don't usually use FPSC, my piece of cake is more DB or DBP. But seemings as i'm practising my modelling skills i'm using this as quick profit and experience. One extra thing, anyone know how to export .X files from Blender 3D?

To export from blender 3D(assuming you have the latest version) you just go to export in the file menu, then click directx(.x). As for an icon changer, use "Res Hack". You can change the icon and the company info. for your own.

No, you can't change the resources of an exe file by making changes to the registry. You need a program like ResHack that changes the exe itself. However, whenever I use ResHack to change the Icon, The icon and info changes, but the game won't run. Anyone know why?

Assuming you only changed the right info. and not the important stuff needed for the file to run, such as the commands and stuff, you should be good.

If you change the icon and version info the size of the exe can change. This is a problem for fpsc exes (which are dbpro exes) because they are an exe file with files appended to the end. When the exe is run it jumps to the position of the appended files and extracts them to the windows temp dir. If the exe size has changed it jumps to the wrong place and can't extract the files.

To solve this problem load and save the exe in dark_explorer.

By way of demonstration, he emitted a batlike squeak that was indeed bothersome.

I don't think I've ever seen so many lawyers in one forum before.

I can't speak for other countries, but in the U.S., all it takes is a business license from the city or county, depending on your location. To be a corporation, you must register that company with the state corporations division, have officers, and hold regular meetings. And yes, one person can be either a company or a corporation.

my company doesnt ask money for anything either,
ALSO we dont PROVIDE money,my company is more like a team of people who give theyr free time to game development.

As many people may do that and start calling theyr team a company i should assume you first "Research" the company before removing any information about it.

There are some NON "Fake Company's" as you call them.

Before you start slagging me off, I deleted all posts that were filling this thread with crap about fake companies and that were automatically assuming that VSP's company was fake ... hence the quotes I put around it in my post. I made no judgement on VSP's company at all.

Perhaps you should yourself investigate before you post an attack of your own? Awaiting your apology ...

There are even cities in the USA that dont even require a license from the state or city.

and VSP I reccomend Game Cover its a great program used to make a intro toyour game by showing a company name, logo, and game title

and another thing, dont take this as flameing or anything but for the record. Are you clameing to have a accual bussiness like microsoft or are you just giving what your doing a name. like are you just makeing games and selling them and useing the name Virtua Studios Productions as a reconisable link to you and your product?
