Hi people i'm new to this Game

Just got my copy of DBP thank you to the GAME CREATOR People.

"How do i go by asking nicely organised questions to you the pros."

I'm kind of new to programming but have a few question about it.

First off i started a simple math game for my kid. simple 2d, sprites

bitmaps, bonus, timer...

I try to figure out my own solution but hay! i'm new.

In old versions of DBP GLOBAL used to be hilighted in blue

now in the version 1.054 GLOBAL is black ? "is it still working or is

there something new about it."

I'm French from CANADA :'

I have version 1.06 and global highlights blue for me. I don't think anything has changed about global, but then again I never realy used 1.054. It should still work even if it stays black, but if you really want to change it then go into Dark Basic Software/Dark Basic Professional/Editor/Keywords, open one of the .ini files and on a new line type "GLOBAL==Variable Name". The next time you open DarkBASIC Pro and type in global it should be blue.

Welcome to the forums. We are not all pros here , but we do what we can to help each other. Just dont be rude, and no one will be rude to you.

And about that "global" thing, when I first got DBPro(copied it from a friend ) things like "global" and "and" where colored blue. Then I decided to buy it... I hade many reasons, one of them where so I could update it, but mostly it was so I could feel honest. Then the "global" and the "and" where black. So its true that its blue in the older versions. But then I updated to 1.06, and it was blue again. So if you update it, it will be blue.
