Regarding FPSF

I have no clue why its down lol, I havernt been able to access it in a week or more.

I think the hosting service is sick of me eating all the bandwith up lol

On average a month, the site takes up 4 to 5 gigs of bandwith lol

so umm yuh ill look into it eventually

I was wondering why it wasn't working, I was thinking that maybe Templar was getting yet another cool template

Anyways, I hope the site comes back up soon!

well if it doesent clear up get something easy to make a webpage(lots of free software) but don't add any file links.(can add page links)

Trust me its a pain but with a template it will be a hole lot easyer.

srry that sux

done that , no response

KIWIDOGGIE

what are you on about

i dont need a template

The webpage thing was easy, its the work of uploading all the files again and having to add every individual file again

and sorry to say but I really couldnt be bothered having to do that, and im not really interested in FPSCreator anymore , I only kept it for all you guys , and sorry , im not that devoted to have to redo it

Though with 6 gig of bandwith a month im not surprised if they deliberately caused it to not work

Well, if it doesn't work out I can move the MOTM to our site I suppose. Otherwise that will end too.

Just as a note, you should allways keep a backup of your entire site.

Until recently I had backups of the entire FPSC Universe sites [From the flash version, to the now gone PHP Version] Which I threw out because nither exists.

yuh I have backups

but I cant afford hosting

and if i do get some sort of free hosting and have to rely on savefile again

then i have to edit all the download links again...

which I dont want to do

the way it looks , I think my web host is actually stopped being a webhost

so I dont think fps-files will be back

I was hoping to atleast have it till september , then I could say that FPSF has been around for a year

If I was able to acquire hosting a gain with unlimite dspace and bandwith

I may think about bringing it back , but until I have money, it doesnt look good im afraid

naaa

bit expensive if you ask me

if you want cheap but reliable and has many features id use

http://darkenhosting.com/

the bigest deal on the site you showed is only better in the bandwith then the biggest deal on the darkenhosting, and price is much much cheaper.

Its like 30 to 40 dollars a year

comes with a free domain name

Another good hosting site is

http://www.eclipse-hosting.co.uk/

good cheap stuff there. its billed monthly though , which i personaly dont like doing :/

I don't know if TGC would do it; but you could try asking them to sponsor FPS-Files, Matt. After all, it is an invaluable resource to the community as a whole. It's worth a shot, and I know everyone here supports you.

You guys looking for a decent host I highly recommend http://z555.com/ . In February my host had went down and cost me tons of forum members on this one site I run. These guys at z555 not only did all the leg work to find these guys and get um to release my domain but got all my files from the old host and set up all the mysql db's for everything i was running. It was really a good experience after have a host that would never contact me back. There have been some questions I had prior to joining these guys and they're available on AIM no less and actually answer back when you pm them. The other time I had to contact them I wrote a support ticket and was answered back immediately( they're license renewal had come up for cpanel and there was a 8 hour laps I couldn't get in the cpanel though the site was up and fine). In the past 5 years I've used a host for my domains this place is by far the best. It's also listed as like #2 on the top 10 host list on web designer sites which is how I found them(the #1 spot host was more expensive and offered things I just don't need currently). I'm not normally one to do endorsements but in todays world(specialy on line) it's hard to find a company that wont jerk you around if you've got problems. I know to sadly what its like to have my sites down and no one answering my questions. I've just had such great service from these guys.

Heres some stats on they're services:
