Expansion packs:Unknown
Next update:Unknown
I thought of turning this into a red dwarf joke but since not many people remember it well enough to get the joke I´ll refrain myself.
Lee said he would start work after hs holiday and after the DarkPhysics dll has been released. Unfortunatly the Dark Physics dll has been delayed untill the third week in June so this will have a nock on affect for the DGDK.
The expansion packs will depend on demand. In other words if enough people buy the DGDK when they update it, then they will see if it´s viable passing the expansion packs over.
The main show stoppers are the shader bugs. Basicly every shader crashes any program. Also the colission is reported to be dodgy. I suggest using a physics SDK for collision anyway though. It´s alot of fun!
As far as examples go you have a few games made with open source. One made by Walaber which demonstates how to get the Newton SDK working with the DGDK. Mike also showed how to get the DGDK working with the MFC(sp?) I think.
If I remember rightly Sparky said he might port his colision dll over to the DGDK when the patch comes out.

Need path finding in your games? Have a look at the tutorials on www.telefonica.net/web2/paskyprog/.

Methinks my guesstimation of 2-3 months (from beginning of May) for U6 GDK release (something that was promptly dismissed as exhagerated at the time by Richard Davey...) will be accurate at best or optimistic at worse.

It is a fraud that they have been and they are still selling it like this:

Quote: "Dark Game SDK - Product Information - Key Features

The Dark Game SDK contains the following features:
-....-
· Pixel and Vertex Shaders
· Cartoon Shading
· Rainbow Rendering
· Code your own Shaders
-....-"

Yeah code your own shaders, why not, and you can watch tv and take coffee too...

Have faith my brothers. Im sure Lee will wont forget us this time. However were already starting to see delays, so it would be nice if we got some regular status updates for this final stretch of the wait.
