I was thinking about buying the SDK (I was almost buying it!) to use it to display simulations results (civil engineering simulation software I've been working on in my university) BUT... there's no support for Vc++ 2k5... that's a problem for me cause... well ...I can't go back to the 2003 version (I'm not in charge of the project...)

Right now I'm looking for some alternatives ... but I wouldn't mind if an update happened to appear out of nowhere =D

From what I understand support for 2k5 will happen when things are patched up to "u6" which is supposed to happen right after lee updates the dbpro helpfiles (god knows how long that will take).

Maybe a month or so

I wouldn't hold your breath.

That was posted by Mike last September, and we're still waiting...

I initially bought the GDK and, while waiting for the update (ZZzzzz), decided to buy dbpro just to try things out that I would then use in the gdk.

I am beginning to regret that as it seems the gdk is only going to be updated when hell freezes over, and I totally refuse to start anything of any worthwhile size in DBPro because the Basic language is just too clunky.

I have vague plans for World Domination

In periods like this one I can only think that whole TGC has gone on vacation.

If the almighty has to do himself the help documentation there is something wrong. That's a task for a student or a part-time resource.
I estimate that should take only around 2 full weeks (already the time spent).

I think having to change the Physics stuff from Meqon to Ageia, probably couldn't have happened at a worse time for Mike/Lee, having probably to re-do a whole lot of stuff... Plus, its still not finished, which probably means the documentation hasn't been updated yet...

I need the speed & power of the GSDK to do what I want - DBPro would be way too slow.

Come to the last Unofficial DBPro Convention (http://convention.logicstudios.net/)
Dont do anything I wouldn't do. But if you do, take pictures.
