Some of them still seem funny... The english language... 90% "well", 10% other.

Ive not seen many water segments as such and never downloaded any.
Its an area of FPSC which poses some considerable problems for users.

I have done some work on water effects and currently am fairly happy with what I have achieved.

I use a transparent animated decal attached to an invisible enity and combined with local fog - "think about it" to produce some fairly good results. Its not ideal for all scenarios and further experimentation may reveal more possibilities.

Achieving a good result takes some hard work and experimentation.

However it may be a good idea to wait and see what any upgrade brings if water and other liquids are not a critical part of your game in the short term, making do with what can currently be achieved.

If no improvements are forthcoming in that area in any upgrades from TGC then its back to more hard work to see if futrher advances can be made by the community or oneself im afraid.
