I went and ordered FPS Maker because it looked so GREAT!

When it arrived and i installed it... i just wanna ask why:

*Is the AI so pathetic? I've seen pathetic Com AI before... but this is just INSANE!!! (running into walls - stupid AI)

*Not enough features... cant put music on loop on different stages... have to start a music on your starting position

Is it just my version or is FPS Maker really bad?

Ha, Keith!

And I agree with Rich. You obviously got what was coming to you if you actually didn't notice these things (which I disagree with) when/if you downloaded the trial. I mean, you can't even say it's name right.

And I can't wait to see you're release of "Super-Mega-Massive-Brilliant-Super-Intelligent AI Pack". There is alternative AI available like Intellimatter and Merranvo's Super AI.

Not enough features? Please. If you want more features, invest thousands into some overwhelmingly hard to use engine. FPSC is an amazing tool for its price--please tell me another game making engine with this many capabilities for a mere $50. It just doesn't get better than this. Fact is, if you want more, get DBP and edit the source. I'm not expecting you'd do that though, because it's too "hard".

Look, I don't like being angry, but I still don't get why these people come on to the very program's board and label it pathetic without even getting its name right. Yes, I agree, FPS Maker is pathetic. FPSC, on the other hand, is one of the simplest and easiest tools for game making on the market today.

ditto jiffy and KeithC. Look, I tried the demo, read the messageboards for issues, gripes, blah blah blah, THEN and only then did I decide to buy the software. Is it HalfLife2, NO, is it UnReal Tournament, NO, but what it is is a great base to build on. It's only v.1 for &*^@#$% sake. I see great things from this is the developers actually take into consideration the requests and comments from the actual users.

Quick tip....when crossing the road..don't look first..you will get the same satisfaction as you got for not trying the demo.

I think I remember hearing something about every 4,000th copy of FPSCreator having the "Ha-Ha, this copy's gonna suck bad" code implanted in it; so you could be the lucky winner. I could be wrong though.

I myself bought FPSCreator and love it. It does have it's bugs but name any software that doesn't have a bug of some sort.

Anyway if you don't like it don't use it but the rest of us will continue to learn more from others and hopefully teach other (new people) the ups and down untill the update comes.

You should think about getting a new system. We don't have that problem.

mmmmm that seems a little harsh i can smell this thread being locked soon

fpscreator is a game creation system not a engine darkbasic is the engine use if i am not mistaken

if you have problem with fpscreator download the source code and do the improvements you require your self

if you have problems with the program try presenting your arguments in a sensible manner

dont come on to the forums with statements like that

makes you look like a noob
