Firstly, i apologize as i feel a simple thread as this may have been created before, so if anyone has a link to it, feel free to post it.

Ok, i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the pros and cons are of darkbasic/pro and Blitz 3D

I feel i could get a bias opinion as i'm posting on a DarkBasic forum, but which would you people say was the best, and why.

I am a newbie to this, i have recently ordered DarkBasic and i also have the book which i recently got of amazon, but i was wondering what you guys felt aboout the programs.

Well you probably won't get a fair view being this is a Dark Basic forum and everyone here is a Dark Basic user and supports the product. There may be someone out there that uses blitz and db to but probably won't admit it if they frequent this forum. I downloaded the blitz demo a few days ago and checked it out and I didn't like it.

I'm pretty used to DB! If you ordered it and the book just use it. I have the book and its pretty good. Download the blitz demo and check it out, I'm sure you have used DB if you ordered it so compare them and see for yourself which one suites you.

If you try to get to deep into Blitz on these forums you are gonna get flamed bad. I think if you check Blitz out you will go with DB!!! but to each his own

Uh oh... we get this type of post every so often, and it's always
bad news. I will not give you an answer, as this post is sure to
be deleted soon. Y? Because of the possible flamewars and such,
and because this is a DB forum, and Rich doesn't want any BB3D stuff on here.
You *might* be able to get away with it on the general forum, but
certainly not here!

Has this type of thread been created before? Only about 2 million times!

It usually starts off civil, then everyone starts slagging one or the other, then a forum moderator locks or deletes the thread.

Anyhow, just stick with Darkbasic Pro and with a couple more patches will trounce the opposition.

I really doubt that i will get Blitz 3D, i bought DarkBasic and the book which has recently been published, so i am committed to learning DarkBasic.

All i was wondering is the pros and cons of both and the main differences in language and such.
This post wasn't so i could decide which to buy as i have already got DB

Like I said I checked out the demo I just didn't like the way it was set up or looked. I checked out some demo programs and was not impressed. What I saw I could see DB doing it much better.
