When I change the buildsetup file and the setup file, I change the effects used on weapons(Gives them a shine effect) and I changed dynamic lighting and shadows. Then I test the map I made, and it works perfectly, but when I build a game, it changes all the settings, so there's no shine effect. Can anyone help me fix this?

When you build your game there are a variety of things you can change and choose from.Also,the game will only build from levels saved onto your hard disk.You also have to pick the settings you want for lighting when you build the game.Preferences only sets up the test game.

Before I build the game, I change the build settings and add the shine effect on the gun, entities and everyone else, but when I build the game there is no shine effect or dynamic shadows. I still don't know why there's no shine effect or dynamic shadows.

can anyone help me? what is the difference between fpsc-game and your actual executable. When I use fpsc-game and in setup.ini I put the shine effect on wep/entities/other and dynamic shadows and it works, but when I start the executable there's no shine effect or dynamic shadows. HELP me! this is so frustrating plz help

go into you games folder there is a settings file look at that and mess wityh the settings there are many that are very simple to under stand changing a few 0 to 1 might brighten your day have a look

I did that, then I go in the game, and no special effects like I set in the setup file. So I'm still not sure why?

well al i cna say is you are either amking a silly misytake somwhere or your computer doesnt support the effects you have choosen hoave you tried a reinstall?
