I've been trying to create a water effect. And I figured that as Matrix Ghost On can make a matrix transparent, that this would be the best way to go about it.

I tried it, and the matrix just disappears!

I've tried modes between 0 and 5, and no such luck with any of them.

Any ideas?

It DOES appear when the ghosting is switched off... so the matrix is definitely of the correct height.

is your matrix perhaps black? cause ghosting makes darker bits more transparent than white.

Hallowed are the ori.

I've textured the matrix with a blue texture.

Is there a seperate colour setting that I'm missing?

I'll go see if it works with a bright texture.

I tried it with a nice yellow, but no difference. Which is lucky, as yellow isn't a very appropriate colour for water... unless of course somebody has been naughty in the water!

Anyway, I've included the little snippet of source code. And a snapshot too - the top picture is without the Matrix being ghosted, and the bottom is with the Matrix being ghosted.

Ding!!! That works brilliant. And the transparency looks good too. Thanks very much for your help.
