Urm, Maybe I missed it while searching, but I cant seem to locate the DDS editor which has the plane for a logo. It lets you set the alpha channel for your DDS images, so its quite useful.

Does any one know where to find it, if you know what one I am on about.

I use the photoshop plugin from NVIDIA but have no idea what its logo looks like.

Hmmm What I think the best is:

'DXTBmp' From MWGraphics... Google for it

It lets you add and see alpha channels also.

Oh yes DXTBmp has a Plane as logo... It would be what you are looking for Happy Editing

Make your image with PNG then use DDS Converter 2.1 to convert it to dds.
