Released version 1.01 which should resolve infinite lives bug. 1.01 announces it's version during installation and in the top left corner of the main screen.

Thankfully the infinite nature of this rare bug which affected mostly padawane level players does not affect the Netscore, on account of the game never finishing.

PneumaticDryll, i downloaded the game from your site, it said it was 5.78Mb but when it got to around 394Kb it stopped and said the download was complete.

I found the file on my computer and went to open it, however it said it was a .zip file, yet the download link says it's a .exe
I tried to open the file and it said it was not a "valid Win32 application".

Ralph, Jesus didn't have wheels.

I recommend using a download accelerator/resumer. It is not un-common to have these sorts of problems upon first releasing a game because of ISP bandwidth limitations. In the last 4 hours i've had nearly 400mb streamed off my site and i'm only using a free ISP :/ Sorry.

However the problem will clear as the initial rush dies down.

Thanks Ele

I'll try to send the file (not sure if it will go as it's just over 5mb) and then re-route my download page when I get home from The Monastery tonight (not literally, that's just what I call my work).

I am desperately seeking to find a new host, but to get the features and size of sight I want/need costs money I just don't have at the minute. Sorry.

that`s really nice. The sprites and animations are great. Bit tough though, and hard to see what`s coming. Also the flat buldings let it down- wouldn`t bee too hard to make some 3d ones- would it?

Is the first screen a part of the game ?? was that made by you or Lucas Arts ?? .... if by you, then very nice.... if by Lucas Arts, and it's in your game... the copyright springs to mind [b])

Think it was Lucas Arts who makes the Star Wars stuff ?? not too sure

The first screen was made by us tho we did download most of the models from a starwars fan site, We did want to make the buildings 3d but ran out of time and we wanted to get the game out as we still have one more entry to complete which shall be ready Friday crossed fingers. Anyway hope you are enjoying the game 220 downloads in two days means theres a few people out there playing it.

Andy here on Nik's PC

I contacted Lucas Arts regarding copyright and they did not object to the project. It does appear looking around the net that Lucas do not mind fanware products provided they are free, as there are many other free Star Wars games around and countless 3D models.

Pneu.

I think anybody who redoes a game that was written for the atari 2600 should get extra retro points on the retrometer. Nice job!

Is there no challenger to the highest Netscore!? I didn't think i'd done that great when I set it and though it'd drop within the first day.... Guess not, highest non-team member is Woody in 13th Good job Woody, but who's going to be first into the top 10 !?

Keep trying mate, just over 50 downloads today so already running at 1/4 of the bandwidth of launch day - when it gets low enough file resuming will come back on the server and then it'll be a piece of cake to download.

I put up the page on my company server now.

The URL to your page with all sides of information is:

http://www.gpinteractive.com/Banshee_Studios/index.html

I created the logo on the page from your pic you put on this post and edited it a bit to give it a little zing

The layout I made should be good enough.

Hope this helps you out, Pneunamtic.

Looks good...I can't believe I've seen some people actually posting 8 screenshots for one little grass texture update and you hid this from us all that time...Or was I looking elsewhere

That was one of my first games and it was a good one, remember how when you were bored of playing you just kamikazed your way through...I know I did.

We have also released Hyperbowl today as well, along with Jetpac and an entry that was written in one night, Splat! Sorry we kept it hidden but we found out that other people were doing Jetpac and Hyperboel so we kept this one quite till the end.

BARRY B has set the new high score at 14,862pts!

I've also updated the web page for this game as the start of a site revamp process.

hehee! Finally got to play this, was my favourite game on the '2600, and even more desirable 'cos I didn't have a copy myself, always had to go over to a friends place who had the cart

Nice interperetation! When I get time I may just challenge that high score...

The documentation is in the game installation directory and is in .html format.

Reading the instructions is the difference between a score of about 1000 and a score of about 8000...

By comparing the Netscore results with the game downloads I can now give a figure for the number of people who actually read instructions.

1 Person in 600!

Haven't played yet but the old game had random weak point to shoot at....Or kamikaze about 2-3 times on it
