Hi

I just bought a pny geforce 6600gt agp. Unfortunately the latest nvidia drivers with this card really butcher the graphics of fpsc games. I reverted back to an old driver, 77.72. Things seem ok for now. I thought I would let everyone know because you might want to avoid this video card. I let nvidia know so maybe they will fix it for the next driver.

I have an GeForce 5600 256mb AGP, I've had this card for a few years now and have had no problems with it at all. Though I am going to upgrade to a 512 card as soon as the tech race slows down a bit.

The 6600GT is a major card, with updated shader and cine engines. Also the same drivers power the 5000, 6000 and 7000 series cards, it's more likely that there's a configuration problem or a bug in FPSC then a problem with the drivers.

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it's larger than 600x120...

I have an AGP Nvidia 6600GT AGP on this computer (and ran FPSC on it before I got an Alienware), so the problem definetely isn't the card. It's great for those of us with no PCIe port.

ah ok. Jiffy, do you have an sis board? There was an old issue of this card doing the same thing I found on the nvidia site of this card doing the same thing because of something with the sis board. It was fixed a long time ago but maybe it got messed up again because the older drivers after the fix work but the newest ones don't work right for my card. I guess computers are sensitive and it could be a million things going wrong. Well, I am ok running the older drivers for now, doesnt seem to have any adverse effects. I know it is a good card because I read up on it and I got it for only 100 dollars on ebay. I think that is a good buy.
