everyone might have a different definition of a corridor than me..i'm new to FPSC and i imported the prefab "large study room" and was hoping to just utilize a row of the prefab to make a narrow corridor out of it. I keep running into the problem in my picture though. Half the walls are missing and i don't know what/how to replace them...this must be a pretty n00by problem...
can anyone help me out please? =\

well you can do one of two things.

1) just place the room segments in a line to create a hallway

-or-

2) select the room segment and then go to segment editor and select walls only or floors only and then create the corridor
that way.

I guess there is a third option

3) model a complete corridor in a program like 3DWS or Cshop

LOL,

RF seems to have the correct suggestion for you in this case.

Having chosen to buid with a prefab and the painted it as such you simply seem to have lost the walls on the second level.

Go and choose segments to place and look for the wall only piece of the prefab you used - you should see the prefab has been placed into the segment choice list as separate pieces.

Choose the wall segment you need to repaint - in the view move up to the second level where your walls are missing and repaint (replace them).

That should do it. Dont panic you will soon crack it.

Cant find my smilies now there are to many to choose from :

thanx for the tips guys...
i got it to work..
the only thing i found a little disturbing was the ceiling of my study room has the same texture as the study room floor. I added a staircase which sort of complicated things a little bit..
but it works now so i'm happy..
thanx again..
