ok, i've been playing around with maya, and was wondering how to export an object in directx format cuz all it has is four diffrent formats like .ma .mb, and other maya formats, so does anyone know of a plugin for maya or anything to help, thanks for your help

If you go the some website which I forget it has downloads for that stuff. But you might want to check this out: http://www.quest3d.com/index.php?id=102 <- That has a .x exporter for all the versions of maya. (4.5 and above actually)

I hope that helps, but if it doesn't I'll go dig up the website where I got it for you.

By the way... if you don't mind my asking, how did you get maya?

Maya does have a PLE crazy...

and same question goes for how people on here have got 3D studio max

I am currently going through all the licencing crap for both Maya and Max for uni so i get them cheap... just have to wait for my unconditional letter from uni so i can send copies to show im a student...

Look for a direct x plugin aswell called panda, I havent used the ones crazy has posted and from the looks of it they may be a lot better than panda (I couldnt get my .x models to animate?)

I know but only the full version has the exports for anything other than (.mp). He simply wouldn't know of that messagebox tab with (.ma) and (.mb)
