I had a thread before with my first person model of a soldier. I have a project I could use it in now and I fixed it up and I just want to know how I can improve it further.The poly count is a little high right now because of that smoothing feature but I should have it below 3000 triangles soon.

model statistics:
triangles: 5075
vertices:3072

heres the pic:

Texturing looks good, can we get a wireframe?

Your body proportions are...very bad. Did you use a reference for your model? I'm sure you can see the problems; the lumberjack head, the twiggy legs and tiny feet, and the whole thing looks kind of top heavy.

The head is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big.

<EDIT>

Come to think of it, the entire upper torso is way to big, but the head especially.

I thought it was female, with a cut and paste head of a man.

dont listen to them, you proportions are a bit off on the quadicep region and below, as well as the arm equivilent... the biceps to the hands.

Leave your torso and head in tact because that would be hardest to downsize, to already incorrect appendages.

fatten up the upper legs and then use reference image to make the lower legs and ankles relative.

same thing for the arms. The model is great, just fix that problem, which could be mistaken for stylization. Thats exactly what the models from Elephants Dream looked like.

I insist you do. Looks out of proportion!

Everyone is talking about proportion, but how can we truly know when we're viewing the model from an angle? Please repost a wireframe and screenshots on the x and z axis.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

@JimB: I just took your person model...and I'm gonna play with it, and look at the polys in detail(hopefully find a way to model my own humanoids a bit easier)
