Meant to be texturing my Orc tonight but my addiction for the creation of polys took over and I ended up modeling a Goblin.

I didnt have any real plan for him just went with the flow, I also got the chance to start using some tools I've not yet used, which was good.

I think I'll add some extra bits to him later on but for now he can rest...

Oh, the head is meant to be big
Cheers....

looks like a human with a goblin mask on, need to make the body more animal like, with dog style legs and the arms more spindly

I would have gave him more dog like legs, to make him look more goblinish. It is a great model, it would look great in an RPG.

It looks extremely high poly. Like that sash is great, but probably adds thousands of polygons for an effect that can be achieved using a good texture.

Come see the WIP!

The Crazy: Just had to check his poly count, hold your breath, 2044!

I started him off low poly, the goblin himself stands at 1912, the head taking a bit of that. The high poly count is in his kit(the most basic things at that, straps etc), taking a whopping 18532. I mainly used this to try out tools I had not used before, magic bevel, rail extrude etc so it was more of a practice model, not intended for anything.

I like magic bevel alot,

The results...

I know he may not look very goblin like yet in stance, but that is his model pose dont forget, and Insanity Complex, I plan on giving him more of a slump when I do the final pose
You cant see in that render, but he has a bit of a hunch back as well.
When I've posed him I'll wack him back up.

Thanks for all your c+c

Cheers Indi...

The Crazy: I just noticed I made a mistake on the overall poly count, if you look at the other figures I have up they dont match!

2044 is meant to be 20443! is that still not bad

Indi: Yeah great for movies, but cant quite see him in lord of the rings, lol.

Pincho Paxton: That mistake was due to a recent long run of late nights and an overdose of rocket fuel coffee, dont think I'm ever coming down...

I really like the render. It acutally looks as if he's made out of clay or something! Wow!

What program have you been using for this?

(hint: the clay look is from the model being untextured, combined with the background he chose giving a minor reflection off of it[i.e. the color of the light effects the tone of the untextured model])

But... Still... I like!
The shadows is still something that is giving it a clay-looking stile.
