An Easy to use .3DS To .X Converter. Instructions: Type in the file name without .3ds and press enter. Made with DBC. Please post comments/suggestions. Also comes with an example .3ds file so you can try it out. Updated with extras such as calculator and music player!

You know, its simple for anybpdy to make a 3DS to X converter in DBC because all they have to do is use the 3DS2X command.

If you added a user interface and a few more useful options/tools to this converter, you may receive a lot more comments.

I'll say though, this work has some potential.

Currently working on WORLD, a free world editor for DBP and another world building tool for the OMMORPG project!

Well, you could start by adding extra features (not huge ones) like:
Wireframe On/Off
Allow the user to rotate the 3D model using the mouse or arrowkeys
Limb Listing (Displays a list of the object's limbs on the screen)

Thats some that come off the top of my head, but these are the kinds of things which build up the basics for a very useful tool.

i wrote a menu once in dbc, feel free to use it.

also, you can use the CL$() command to click and drag a .3ds file onto the .exe and with some programming you can get it to automatically convert it to an .x
