I am trying to convert .3ds models to .x

I remember using conv3ds but I cannot remember the method / syntax etc would someone please help?

p.s. I searched my hard drive and have the conv3ds.dll

The correct syntax to use with conv3ds.exe is:

conv3ds.exe -x filename.3ds

It will create a file in .x format. If you need more help launch conv3ds.exe from the command prompt, it will display all neessary info.

That did not work either it seems that conv3ds is no longer on my system.

However I downloaded "3d exploration" which did a great job of converting the file.

I never have had any luck trying to load .3ds objects in DBP but the .x works just fine
