I am making a weapon and it works (see picture),
But when i pick it up, nothing happens!
It just says weapon picked up
thats all though!

what am i doing wrong!

sorry about that. I think i need the HUD.X. but i dont know how to make it. I have the entity and the textures and FPE and .x files in the entity bank. and i have the sound, the gunspec, and the VWEP in the gamecore.

Higgins... it isn't that hard.

What he did was create a weapon ENTITY. He needs the HUD weapon and the ENEMY weapon models now. repeat sentence to induce nausia.

Okay, I don't know where to begin... I guess if you want to do this manually Try this tutorial

i dont know how to make the HUD though...is there any tutorail? I have tried the gun tutorial and i am thinking about buying one of theose two programs.

Superdean,

Your getting there - much power to you for your effort - you will get there being on the right track.

Study evrything realted to a default weapon - how its made up and and where everything goes by looking at all the script file mentioned and finding where all the parts go in the various folders.

Once you have everything in place - also remeber that when you have everything set up and in the right place - still when you pick up the weapon in level - you have to be able to see it and its position may have to be adjusted correctly in front of the camera/player.
