Excuse the weird title, but i was just wondering how forumers get those pictures below their posts? u know, advertising their upcoming projects and what not.

You don't have to be insane to answer my questions, but it helps

Firstly, you have to upload your picture to a server--you could use something like Image Shack, or Tiny Pic--but make sure that your picture is below, or at, 600x120 pixels (600=horizontal, 120=vertical).

Next, go to your Forum Profile, and look at the signature field. From there, copy and paste the URL. For practical purposes, I will use an image of my own. Then, put image tags (shown below in the code box) around the image link, like so:

And that's it. Your image will show up beneath all of your new posts (it doesn't update your posts made before you change your signature).

EDIT: For reference: Make sure your signature is under 200 characters, since it doesn't allow more than that. Also, if you want to make it linked, use the URL tags, like so:

And there you go.

I have it recorded closer to 150

also... 600x120 is the maximum... don't do it just because it is.

Don't know if you were saying this for when I stated the maximum or if you were saying it as a general comment, but if it was towards me, I realise that:

Quote: "make sure that your picture is below, or at, 600x120 pixels (600=horizontal, 120=vertical)."

Anyway, you're right. loading dozens of 600x120 pictures gets frustrating.

Not to mention how much they streach a thread...

Hmm... I wonder how hard it would be for rich to add in a "hide other users images" box... just detect if there is a [img]...
