i think it maybe an idea to allow the order's to choose to pay a small premium and send it via DHL or AmericanExpress (stateside that is, Royal Mail First is a pretty good service since they introduced it)
i mean i'm sure some people wouldn't mind paying like $5 extra to have it there within 2-3business days. But the postal service is like this, alot of really crappy (yet cheap) delivery companies out there.
If you live in the UK there is one called BusinessFirst, it is truely appauling yet its the cheapest and everyone uses it... but oftenly it takes longer than projected to get what you want, if they do come oftenly its whilst your at work and rather than asking a neighbour if they want to sign for it and leaving a note they just take it back. Phone a few days later find out they decided you weren't in and just walk off. It is a truely aweful service
there are some almost as bad stateside, but not quite as bad as that (^_^)
problem is with most of them is thier regional rather than the whole country - however can't blame them at the size of the country lol
Also remember RGT isn't quite the same size as a big publisher, so they don't drum off like 1,000 copies a day and distribute them ... most of its elbow grease from the owner and friends (same goes for DBS) - if they get an order for that many copyies they have to go down to the printers, get more manuals, burn off more copies blah blah (^_^)
Maybe they should setup a deal with someone like Amazon.com though, would be better for sales - then everyone can bitch at them
