Mee too, just that I'm sure RMS (Richard Stallman) would flame us about using DBP (He already does that with Java - "The Java Trap"), but who cares RMS, Linus Torvalds style: "Just for fun"

Anyway, how about including some of the most markable threads in the forum. Like say, stickies. For example newton dlls or sparkys collision dlls thread would provide some offline help if internet connection is not available.
What about downloading codebase to offline, it cant be that huge if used text only without css and stuff. Some program like httrack might be able to do it with right parametres.

Thats not a bad idea... And you're right. I bet one could EASILY make a crawler out of PHP and use a regular expression to grab the contents inside specfic tags.

Of course - its more work

That's just cruel!

"So, you haven't got a DVD drive?", I said
"No", he replied, "I am too poor to buy one".
"In that case", said I, "I will release it on two DVD's instead, just to rub salt in the wound". Then I laughed heartily as I skipped away to watch a DVD.

Is there a complete list of what might be on the CD? I prefer that to the iso D/L since I have a 28.8 connection. An installer for MFC80 would really interest me. All my attemps at downloading it stop at around 1MB, about 25% of the whole thing. And I need to use CMappy Plug in. I'll be glad to pay for even the glossy way if you are going that way. This is a great initiative. Thank you.

Thank you and nope! It looks like the transfer stops all by itself (my connection is still on) but data just stops after 860kB or so. I'm D/L'ing lots of stuff from this site and others and this is new to me. Could you just attach the file to an email to me? [email protected] thanks

Mnemonix, make sure you get a copy of CodeSurge on your disk. It's under 1 mb zipped, and about 1.6 mb unzipped.

Good performance is better than a good excuse.
