im having a problem whereone of the vertices of my model is positioned in a wierd spot and i dont know why(see the pic to see what i mean)

i imported the model into CFX as a .obj from lithunwrap and it looks fine in CFX, so i boned it and animated it. but when i export it to .x and load it into DBP, i have this problem.

i have tried many different export options and they either come out as this, or the same thing but worse(with all of the verts all over the place)

has anyone had this problem before? and please only post if you have used CFX

Make sure every single vertex is assigned to a bone, and if it has and shaders or anything applied to the object, try turning it off.

all verts are assigned and there are no shaders involved

wow, i figured it out. its a strange CFX bug that ive never seen before:

if youve use CFX, in the keyframer window, all key frames are red for each bone, usually looking like this(forget the -s):

|---|---|---|
|---|---|---|
|---|---|---|
|---|---|---|

but, i had a few keyframes looking like this:

|-----------|
|---|---|---|
|---|---|---|
|---|---|---|

leaving gaps like that before exporting causes the problem shown in the pic above in the first post.

all CFX users should make note of this, as its very useful and will save you much frustration later

There's a keyframe button for individual bones and one for the whole pose - personally I like to use both, like say when the start and end frames of a walk loop are the same, I use the big stamp, then animate the tween frames with individual keys.

I think there's a minimum limit though, 4 comes to mind, like each bone needs at least 4 keyframes or if can't interpolate it. Maybe one of your bones had only 2 keyframes?, sounds like a similar problem to me.
