OK so..DB is kinda getting outdated by DBPRO, specially now with the physics, AI, and new extensions... I was looking at the DBPro Post about why buy TGC products and I wondered if I would buy an expasion for DB. So I thought.. here are some things I would spend my money on... (but it would be awesome if it was just free...)

I think that DB could get lightmapping... I own DBpro and would be glad to buy and use the new DarkLights (when it comes out) to make levels for DB... or perhaps, DB could simply load .DBO files (which would include the light maps! )

Another thing is... ok collision (well less collision, more raycast, but ok).. sure there's NGC (and it's awesome, I recommend ), but an update including a raycast against box collisions would be great (Just like Static line of sight, except on the dynamic objects that have been set a collision box...), so we wouldnt have to load all the other commands and stuff.
The reason I say this is, I have recently "finished" my Multiplayer FPS and once I added grenades and other projectiles, I had critical FPS drop... from flat 66 (when sync rate 60 and 130 on sync rate 0) to 4,5. When doing the same using Static object collision...my FPS never dropped (800,900 at times...), but I didnt keep the static command because of box only collision... (NGC rules!)

Perhaps just a few new commands could be released before the death of DB...

Sorry but there will be no more updates for DarkBASIC Classic, ever. Yes I know it's a shame, but it's just not going to happen.
