No, its more like quake-edit....and has stuff FPSC doesn't have (check it out, diagonal walls!). The models a very low poly and the system looks basic. Don't worry, FPSC isn't in any danger.

i know that person, he is a member of the GMC, using the tool "GameMaker" originally designed to create 2d games with a small functional area of 3D, since version 6.0 people have been programming 3D engines, editors and converters, this guy has by far revolutionized how GM works

but i assure you this is no threat, or little anything compared to FPSC, and of course its buggy, GM insnt built specifically for 3D games, GM cannot support shaders or very little for that matter

i just find it funny how this popped up in these forums and was seen as a threat bought back some memories of GM programming

They cant even count(Watch the three part)

Quote: "
There are three kinds of opponents. Enemy type opponents have guns, they can be moving or still, monster types don't have any weapon, but touching them decreases the energy level of the player (actually they hurt the player). All these properties including sounds and ondestory events and so many more can easily be set with the popups. "

and wait until the people of these quotes see FPSC from TGC:
Quote: ""I can't wait to see this!!!!"

"Really nice."

"Very cool program. I like it alot."

"That is so awesome!"

"This really looks nice. Even better grafics than thief 1."

"Sweet, can't wait til the release!"

"Very cool! I'm looking foward to the actual release!"

"I can't wait for the creator this looks awesome!!!"
"

Actually I can see someone doing a recreation of the original Doom or Wolfenstein 3D with this.

Yeah, I'm with the GMC community like Jon is, and that program can make very basic FPS's. There's also a free learning edition that has the logo in it like FPSCreator EA, so think of it as a game creator where you can create old FPS games like Wolfenstein 3D . It's an okay program, although I tore my hair out at it's confusingness.

heh, i beg to differ, they have most likely already seen the program, you know what the difference here is, their users are moderate programmers not looking for our "no work" solutions, i find it more of an acheivement to set up and actually program these features than to create a full level with FPSC

Crazy Kamakazi Killer Guy, this was made in a program ment for 2D games, and the creator had to bust his a-... butt off for this to work.

I agree with Maeko - give the guy his due, he MADE that whole product. And as for "Silent Walk" being a "slap in the face" to FPSC users - you are aware that in the world of coded 3D engines, FPSC is considered little more than a children's toy? I hasten to add that I disagree with that opinion, but still, for this very reason, it raises my hackles when the tone of a post on these forums turns to elitism.

Yes, compared to FPSC, "Silent Walk" is limited, but it's an impressive achievement for a single programmer nonetheless. I doubt the makers of "Half-Life 2" would be bedazzled by anything I can create in FPSC, but it doesn't mean what I produce is entirely without merit.

Hi,

the "guy" is here.

Somehow I am glad, that my program got a small attention on this site.

I just want to say, that Silent Walk wasn't made by professional programmers and not made for professional game creators. I even don't know if this job exists...

This thing was really made with Game Maker, a nice and good program maker. However GM is not made for 3D games, I tried to search its limits in the 3D area, and I am quite pleased with my result.

Thank your for downloading my program!

Have a silent walk,
Zoltan Percsich
