Should I get "Programming Role Playing Games With DirectX" to help me program RPGs with DarkBASIC Pro?

Yes and no.

No because it will teach you absolutely nothing about programming with DarkBASIC Pro.

Yes because it will teach you about programming and about how to design the mechanics of an RPG. Those are skills you can then transfer into DBPro.
