if you click the icon tab in the darkbasicpro project manager, click add, select the icon you want to use and it should be fine. ive never had this problem that you have. infact patch 4 has compleatly solved all of my icon problems. also remeber to have your icon in the folder where your .exe file is (otherwise it gets buggered abomut with)

I have a word of advice...

How big is the icon - it has to be 256 colours and 32x32 in size.

Failing that, go into DBP's compiler folder and replace the icon there (the pyramid icon which is used as the default unless otherwise specified).

[Edit]
Sorry about that, I usually do try to follow the rules.

Anyway, you could change the icon with another application.

Try:

@andrew

It is not just offtopic, it is blatant spam. Observe forum rules and PM members about these things or email them.

No, you I don't have the same as you, you have the same as me. I posted to ask you why my avatar was on your site, but Rob K said I wasn't following ruled and it was spam, so I deleted my post. I've had my avatar for a few weeks, and a few weeks before as a backup avatar, but when I posted, you had a different one. I got it from GIF.com.
If you wan't proof, look at some of my past posts that say "<-- Ouch my head". Why would I put that without this avatar?

Sorry about the misunderstanding. I don't want to change my avatar, but I'm sure that you don't want to either.

And Rob K, who cares if its spam, no one is going to use this topic anyway, as Spectre's question has been answered (I think), it is not important enough to email about or start a new topic, and if it is spam, then you are guilty too.

I have nothing against Rob, but if he didn't accuse me of spamming, Frobscottle would have read my post and known about my avatar. First Rob was mad at me, then Frobscottle got mad because I deleted my post because of Rob.

And whats really spam is the 5 replies because I tried to ask a simple question.

Don't yell at me for being off topic, but the first person on this board to use that gif was AVAN (haven't seen him 4 a while unless he changed his handle), I know because I uploaded it to my webspace for him to link to. It seems to have done the rounds since

As for the icons, just change them using a registry editor. I use InstallSheild, but there's many other cheaper or free ones out there I would guess

Coming Soon! Kangaroo2 Studio... wait and quiver with anticipation! lol

Oh... I didn't know that. Before I even went on to the forums I got 4 or 5 backup avatars because I didn't want to use the avatars that they gave you and be origional. Guess my plan didn't work.

I searched for Avan using your search (it comes in handy).
He still has the avatar.

Sorry Avan.

I guess we'll both have to change our avatars.
