I was browsing turbosquid and ran across this free city model. Looks pretty nice and I would like to use it for a project ive been working on. Too bad for me its in the .c4d format. could someone with cinema 4d convert it to .3ds for me. if you can that would. be great thanks in advance.I attached the file its about 6.0mb in .rar.

The file comes out as 45Mb. I've got no where to host that... sorry dude.

Sounds like its a high poly model for high res render. There are some tools in C4D to reduce poly counts. Try the C4D "Poly Reduction Object" in the Deformer's group. You would have to play with the settings. If I wasn't on such a slow modem connection I would give it a try. Im also using an older version (R8) of C4D. I think they have R9.6 out now. Not sure if the demo of C4D would do this. C4D is a great general 3D program, but its one of the new ones and other software doesnt support its file type.

sorry I didnt explain I meant for a cutscene. sorry if I caused confusion.Its okay I worked hard yesterday and produced a nice city that I could use for realtime and cutscenes. Really all you need is some boxes textured. I really have to get some more textures as I have some place holding ones for now. Ted really did some stunning lightmaps so im happy with the way it looks now.thanx anyways.

exactly... i would have loaded it up for you its just that the file size was massive. Well at least you've got some work that is ur own now... and good luck with watever u are creating.
