As I'm still an novice animator, and I know these forums are full of them, I decided to make a thread where skilled nice people can help newbies.

I made this thread as I need support and I know there is others who do too. The hardest piece in animating is the beginning, to start from scratch so therefore I made a thread where skilled animators can post templates of models. Low poly templates which novices can download and finnish.
this would be of great help to many people and a good training for both novices and skilled animators.

I myself plan to post some template here soon if anyone need.
Here you can also request low poly TEMPLATES but not that not everyone is fond of making full models for others so please request only templates!

Thanks in advance to everyone who help, or at least read this post!

it's not only the graphics, but the story which makes a game the best...

I think he means blueprints.

The wireframe pictures of completed models so newbies like myself can better understand polygon layouts...

What I mean is a premade low poly model which users can download and complete, to make work faster and easier

So you just want a model. because you cant be bothered to learn how to model?

I think that's what he means. Something a little more complete than say the UT skeletons that come with Milkshape. Something like Oddmind's model with a skeleton attached to the verts and perhaps a blank or generic UV map. That way a creative person could work on skins or animations without having to make a huge investment learning how to model from scratch.

I'm not saying its the best way to learn, but I can understand the desire for that kind of generic character.

I think there will probably be more of a desire to do it urself. Imo character modeling is probably harder than any other sort of modeling.....

Here's a reference image you can use. The geometry is very simple as the model is under 300 polygons, so you might be able to follow it to create a similar model for use in animation or whatever.

If I get around to texturing it, I might release it here, but I encourage you to have a go at modeling your own copy first.
