Think I've found out why the compiling routine was troubling me. If I compile with `Attached Media` and use the `Encrypt Attached Media` option, I get an error about `not finding media`. The `Compress Attached Media` option works fine, luckily, as it greatly reduces file size.

Is this an acknowledged bug ? Does Patch4 fix it ? (I'm finishing my game before I patch). Does `Encrypt` simply make it harder for people to grab the images/objects etc ?

If you don't encypt the media then other people will be able to get hold of it much more easerly. When the program runs it extracts the media to a temp directory.

What media are you using? By using certain formats (e.g. .png insted of .bmp) you should be able to mostly remove the need to compress the media in the first place.

Using mainly jpeg, so I assume that's pretty compacted already. I have it all running ok now...the Project tab and media settings etc could really do with a section in the manual though.
