I have only played with the demo for about 2 days, which gives me some idea about the game, but most of my input has been coming from the forums.

So, my question is: Is this game worth the money?

Ideally, what I would be using it for is to creats some deathmatch levels for some friends and I to play. I am not looking to release and sell my own game, just to have fun.

I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

It is worth it , the demo only has alittle bit of features though so you might not expierence all the items etc . , but its up to you if you want to buy it .

honestly with v1s condition...if your just going to make online deathmatch games...no. there are lots of bugs with internet...and to host a game you have to take off all your internet protection

Yes, very much so. Dollar for dollar, this is one of my best buys. It will give you a great deal of insight on game creation, and hours of fun and frustration. Don't expect to create an AA kind of game on a shoe-string budget, but what it does it does rather well.
It does have some bugs, and updates are so slow that they haven't posted the first one yet, but no flaw is so serious that it will prevent you from enjoying it. It will give you an opportunity to explore all facets of FP games. And, depending on your skill and persistance, you'll get what you put, the results can be very slick. If, on the other hand, you would like to create a quicky game, this will allow you to do it as well.

So, if I am hearing correctly, playing over the internet is not necessarily the best. What about playing over a LAN?
