I looked arround in the google forum search, and I didn't find anything that was very useful. Any help finding it would...(still be)great?

No this is the kind of post that keeps the boards running and doesn't destroy it or make it irreputable. Much better.

Hahaha, I'm not asking for sword models, I'm asking how to make swords a weapon in the game!

But pallamini, I will use your swords, if I can get them in the game (you would get credit, of course).

do a search for melee weapons in the models and media section. That's part of your problem, you're in the wrong section mr angry more often than not if you post in the wrong section everyone will ignore you. This subject happens to be particularly touchy and requires a fairly large amount of understanding. So its best you search, in the models and media section and get some answers. I could say import your weapon as normal and change the range on your gunspec file, but like I did before I did some searching , you will probbably say "Huh?"

Like I said before Pallmanni will probably have to help you as he has gotten swords into games and has done a good job with it.
You don't just wave a magic wand and make a sword appear in your game. It's a pain in the neck. All melee weapons are.
Before you come unglued think about that and think about why there are lots of guns and very few swords...and go see a shrink about your anger control problems.
I try to help if I can.Sometimes,like in this case,I can't.
And you won't necessarily get help around here with that attitude.
We don't do help on demand. It is strictly on a voluntary basis.

urghh ... making a sword is very much like making weapons for fpsc, here's a "short" tutorial on how to do this. I asume you already made a sword model so we can begin.

1. Download the gun tutorial (dont remember where it is so i uploaded the hud.3ds from it, you only need that.)
2. Open your 3d modeler, import the Hud.3ds file.
3. Import your sword.
4. Place it right in the middle of the gun, a little to left. you know it will be a sword so it must point up. Like the gun is - and the sword must be I .
5. when you have placed it into the right place, delete the gun wich was in the hud.3ds file, (we dont want that inside our weapon do we?) just remember, dont delete the sword
6. Ok, now it's almost finished, but now the most boring part begins. ANIMATING!!. Take the gunspec file from the keenblade. look at its key animation thingy, look at the numbers behind the "shoot" and all the animations listed there, you must animate the weapon correctly after those numbers. it's easy if you know what you're doing, but it is tricky if you're doing it for the first time. just play with it.
7. Now export the 3ds file, get the dbconv thingy and convert it into a .x file. and the rest.. well.. it's pretty obvious isnt it?

Look, i have no time to get into it further right now..

Just google pallmanni and get the history of me!

if you have any questions about this or if you get stuck, then ask but dont ask to many questions, you need to keep on trying it's easy to learn, my FIRST weapon for fpsc was a sword =) so it isnt so hard...

Torsten,
You anger me...you act stupid, repeatedly bumping the thread saying you are getting angry. Just be patient, if they don't know they won't say-just shut up and wait. And now, when someones tells you what you want to know:
Quote: "Thank you Pallmanni, I will run through this a bit later"

That's just like saying: Hi, I can't be bothered to read that, so if I feel like it later, I will...
Enough of this crap.

Oh, you were nice enough to sign your name.... Just because someone says they will go through it later, doesn't mean they get to it eventually if they want to. If that is what I would have done, I wouldn't have bumpet the thread. And as I said earlier, I didn't mean angry, like really angry, more of an upset no one was helping me yet. Your not acting to bright, accusing people of something you don't know. Thank you for such a helpful post.

Really, I had no idea weapon creator supported melee weapons. Thanks code master, I'll probably get that in the next few days, If I can't figure out what Pallamani showed me.

the best way to get a sword into fpsc is through the monitor.

Not really.

Seriously tho, it annoyed me when you hit a wall and got a bullet hole. did anyone work out a way to add new scorches to the gamecore?

You would probably set it to create an overlay, where the sword hit something.
