I am currently learning how to make a Gun model in milkshape, and am having trouble with the cylinders. I cannot figure out how to get a cylinder to go across the screen and not up and down the screen. Also i am having trouble with learning how to animate weapons. If anyone could help that would be great.

Create the cylinder vertically, then select rotate, and enter 90 below the button labelled "X" click "rotate", which is just to the right...

In what way would you animate a weapon? you mean it has moving parts, or an animating texture?
