The flail has enough spikes. I will have two characters and a few more things, like shields and bows.

Will the shields actually protect you, or will they be weapons that you pummel people with? and how much will this cost?

I was thinking of adding a shield with a sword, so you see the shield on the left side, with the sword on the right.

I might charge £5 which is $9.

Ive made a mace also, ill also make the weapons Black as said.

Nice bow, the texture is nice and rustic looking. Excuse me if I missed it, but are these going to be animated weapons? Or entities?

I had planned to make my own weapons, but after failing terribly with creating a staff (I don't think it can get much simpler than that), I think I may just buy your pack.

Just let us know when it is available.

Thanks.

I like your models, but i haven't seen any of the animations. you said you finished the bow, could you please upload a video of it so i can sample all aspects of your work before buying?

and also on the newest sword you've made, it appears to be a bit off balance. most swords are made so they are even front to back, i think you chould made the back end a bit thicker and heavier looking to restore the thought of wieght balance.

The dagger is the same as the sword, so there is nothing wrong with it, you just cant see it all, so you think it looks odd.

Here is the bow animation.

Just wondering if you will have any of the following weapons:

Spear (Preferable thrown, but stabbing motion might be nice
Throwing knives/stars
Staff
Magical Wands (that shoot out fire, ice, or something like that)
Crossbow
Magical Swords (basically, just a regular sword, with some sort of aura surrounding the blade)

These are basically things I am looking for in my game, so anything you don't make, I will have to attempt, so I was just curious.

Thanks.

Your post never showed up asa new one, so I havent seen it till now.

I will probably make some of those, but ill have to up the price every time I make some thing new. I have around 5 weapons and 2 characters so far, which will cost £5, so if I make more ill have to charge more.

Will the bow have arrow flak, or not?

I cant wait to see the flail animated... that's gonna be COOL.

The textures are looking really nice. I'm glad to see you got your modelling buzz back!

Peace

Thanks Butters and Bond.

Well, here is a video of the flail animated.

Would any one be willing to give me images of arms, so I can get the bow finished?

you could always take a picture of your own, you can use your body for all sorts of things

not sure if its useful, but it has been for me:

great for model and texture reference

It was all key frames and pivot points Bond. To be honest, I dont care what type of arm images I can get, so if your willing to donate yours, that would be great

Zaibatsu, it was called mace because I made a misstake, it was ment to be flail, but it doesnt matter.

The bow wasnt textured because I dont have any arm images to put on the arms.

Jon, I wont be able to use that hand, but I could use it to model a hand, so thanks.

Hey that's pretty darn close to what you need, at least the topside. Do you use photoshop? You could use image warp and liquify to fit that map fairly easily. But you'd still need the palm-side...

that could fit nicely with a bit of re-saturation and less spec highlights, and ofcourse the manipulation techniques you stated

i'll have a whack at that uv map with the arm and the hand i provided, and see what i can come up with...

by the way higgins, what UV exporter do you use?

I am using Max 8 and it comes with its own UV map exporter so I can save the Uv's as an image.

I cant texture my self, I just do what I can with basic skills.

ah, im running version 7, cant afford the uprgrade, lol i mean whats the point of a UV editor, when you cant do anything with the map you just created, ah well, my method is alright

i used that image i gave you and put it on your map, fits pretty well, still making it...

@Higgins
Hey, good job with the pack so far Higgins really looks great, the bow is my favorite.

@Jon
You having UV mapping exporting problems? Get the Texporter plugin, it lets you export your UV maps in a couple of formats. Here is the link, the 3rd one down, tell me if it helps: http://www.cuneytozdas.com/software/3dsmax/

meh, heres a basic start on the hands, it might do, try wrapping around the model and seeing how it looks, ya never know

but it was way off the UV map, the thumbs were alot larger, or maybe jus the texture being shown from the side, but anyway, it was annoying to fit to the map, and they have been VERY distorted...and ofcourse you can see seams of saturation and between the palm side and top, but its a start...

a very n00bish start to be precise, needs alot of tweeking
