Hey, there used to be a code floating around that allowed you to have a DB window inside of a VB program. It allowed you to pass values back and forth. Does anyone remember it/have it?

*major bump from page 8* I found a new use for this, and am once again, wondering if anyone remembers that code? Someone has to remember it, it was for DBC.

You mean like automation? Or just running the program controlled inside of VB? If it's the later option, just use the Shell command.

If it's automation, look in the references area and look for anything DB. You should then be able to create an instance of DB, and control it within your VB Program.

I hope this helps, as I haven't used VB in a while....LOL.

So what are you hoping to do with it?

There was a long thread on the RGT forum about it a while back - try there.

If I understand you right in having both Dark Basic and VB able to communicate together then that'd be a great tool. Dark Basic is hopeless for windows looking apps which VB is perfect for, it'd be great for something like a Map Maker or windows-based utility.

Anyway, tell me if you ever find the post, I'm interested lol. Oh, and I believe someone made a search thing for this forum although I don't remember the URL.

If you're still looking, I think I may have found the RGT thread:

Is that what you were looking for?
