3 Dimensional Chat / really quick uv map review.

using lithunwrap how do you make the uv map to make your texture. somone on these forums told me how but i forgot cause i never applied it. but if someone here could just give a quick how to.

Drag a box around the model. Go to tools UV Map. Pick what type of UV map you want. It will do the UV map. You can move the parts around, and scale them. Save the UV map. Save The model. That's it.

what type of uv mapping would be best cube or decal?

Depends on what it is for, I like to use planar and cube, I use planar if I want a texture where the sides dont have much detail, the front and back are then able to handle a better form of textures in my opinion, if you need 3-6 sides cubic I'd say cubic is best, but you can customised them. But I love lithunwrap for its auto UVMaps, it stands where my crappy Hexagon 2 UVMapping sucks
