If it's the van I made (not sure if there's another blue van floating round here...), then the .tga file needs to go in the texturebank\user folder.

Otherwise, I'd suggest opening the .fpe file and checking the folder path for the texture.

Cheers

You dont need to put the textures in the texturebank! Its easyer if You have everything in the same folder, like this: car.x, car.tga, car.bmp, car.fpi ... Thats the fastest and easyest way....

Uhh... yeah, ignore that.

The textures are not associated automatically, they are directed via the FPE file and the FPE files are all set up to get the textures from the texture bank. (some ARE in the entity bank) or meshesbank... either way, you have to SET the path.

Merranvo said you have to specify the texture in the .fpe file. You have to.He did not say that the textures had to be in the texture bank but that you have to specify the file path to find the texture.

yer i'm sorry, but with the bit about the putting-the-location-in-the fpe, you can have it in it's own file and add the stuff and it shauld just register it.

incorrect. As long as the textures/meshes are called by the model FPSC will propperly parse the textures in. The issue is that you need to move the textures over manually.

Okay, it sounds like you are agreeing with mr. love, but I do not understand what you mean by "add the stuff". Possibly you are just saying copy over the model data and the image.

Either way, it appears you are right. FPSC-Game looks like it is associating the files via name. I'm not certain if that will cause issues but it looks like it works, interesting.
