Ive been using signs II to make some custom segments, but ive found that some of the walls dont appear in the test game, as if I have not placed any there. Does any one know how to fix this?

I had the same problem and the way i fixed it was placing a wall say facing to the right and in the same spot placing one to the left. making it a double sided wall.

Yep.For some reason if you place a wall from one direction...say the left...it won't show up.But if you rotate two times and place the same wall from the right direction it will show up.
If a wall doesn't show up just erase it and put it in the same spot from the opposite direction. That should fix it.

Is it a fpsc bug or some thing to do with signs II?

I have never had it happen with TGC's included segments, but it has with segments I've made. I can't remember if they were Signs II or Magic FPS, because I use both. The above described fix works for me also.

It works for me too, you have to build rooms from the inside and not from the outside, otherwise some of the walls wont show. So its quite annoying when you need to place them some where you cant.

You might notice that if you use the stock segments that from time to time the walls flicker or you can see one wall through another one.

We all get the same problem and the same issues returned.

I guess its related to the paint internal, paint external walls modes but maybe not.

Not quite sure why we have that but thats the way its designed.

As a result I sometimes end up with 3 section thickness walls - one inside, one outside and one in the middle so where that one comes from I have no idea.

Not sure why we need all that at all or what it does to the game speed and file size as I presume that 3 walls for every one means 3 times as many polys as needed.

Why we cant place a single wall (of a specified thickness) which has one texture one side and one on the other and leave it as that I dont know. But there you go - the wonders of FPSC.

The whole issue of this wall complexity which seems to be unecessarily complex - including the problems of texture inheritance, flickering textures and the corner issue could do with some attention from the developers.

Unfortunately TGC seem to have so many requests for improvements to FPSC for us to expect to see many of them becoming a reality.

Ah well.
