Dark basic's examples and whatnot all have media, and I'm trying to make some limbs without any media, but it's really not going well for me so far. I'm not quite sure what the mesh numbers are or if I need to upload meshes or something first, and then on top of that I'm told that I can't connect my limbs when I try! (I was using a mesh of "0" since that was the only one that didn't create an error)

So, if any of you guys can help, or tell me where to find good tutorials on this, it would be very much appreciated.

Well, it isn't normal that the only mesh working would be 0. I just tried loading a simple mesh with nr 5 ("Cube.3ds") and it worked fine.

Meshes contain vertex, alpha and uv data. They are used for vertex editing (memblocks -> enhanced version), creating objects or adding limbs to an object.

I didn't find any tutorials covering meshes...

I thought the meshes were supposed to be just those standard primitives of objects, or do you have to load your own meshes then? That seems like it would be more work than it ought to.

Anyways, currently my code is basically:

make object cube 2,10
add limb 2,1,0
add limb 2,2,0
link limb 2,2,1

And it doesn't like linking limbs 1 and 2, I'm guessing that I'm screwing up here because I just don't know the language well enough.

As always, a simple search would have saved somuch time.

That should help, if not there's much more.

Wow, erm, yes, that's perfect. xD

I don't know specificly how I would search for a medialess example of limbs though, as not many people use a comon term for it, and the use of "medialess" seems rare. But, I will try searching harder next time. Thanks Ruccus!

You'd search limb. Having one try at a search is just lazy. Glad it helped though.

Well I'll be sure to do it myself from now on. I already just found the answer to my issue with gluing objects to limbs and them losing collision abilities. So, thanks in more way than one!
