I feel like the biggest noob for asking this. I'll kick my own ass for this later.

So...can someone please explain how to get a remote door to work? Ive gotten the entity to open it, but I cant seem to restrict the player from just walking up to it and opening it himself.

You have to right click on the door and change the main AI script to doorremote.fpi or pick one of the remote doors from the entitybank.
Then you can just put whatever switch you want (found in the wall funiture folders in the entitybank).

make sure that when you place this door you set the switch to the name. I know that confused you so I will explain it again.....

if you have door "A" then the remote you use should have in the "if used portion" door "A" I try to use alpha numbering and then when I run out of alpha I go tto numeric numbering 'er listing.

Just as a tip, you might want to add in a little location prefix too like HallA DoorA or BedA DoorB
