Not if you want to program a flight simulator.

Tell us what you want to do, (And if the answer is make a FPS then.....)

I dont use Dark Basic . (I use a basic, just not dark). And the anwser realy realy realy does depend on. 1) What you want to do. 2) How good are you at useing Basic.

You might as well ask, "Which is better, a wisk, or an electric food procesor"

I think the wisk is better. Did I win? What's a wisk?

I assume you are asking which one makes a better game. Although I have no experience with DB or DBPro, it is my understanding that DBPro will make a better game. After all, FPSC is written with DBPro. FPSC is easier, but much more limited.

I think the real question is how good are you in math, and how much work are you willing to do.

If you put too many letters into a word, your logic engine cannot cope. All I did was remove the redundent "h"
That just good optimisation

Im not good in math... But I have done some pretty nice stuff in DBP anyway! If You want to make a nice looking game, buy FPSC. If You love programming (Witch I dont!) buy Darkbasic Pro, but then You have to be good at making models as well.. (If You dont want to buy them or make a 2D game.)

Why is it that americans miss out letters from words, its not Math, its Maths. The same with colour, its not color, its colour.

Maybe its like that due to all the [ModEdit} president's you have all had.

FPSC is good to get if you like to start game design as a hobby, but it isnt that big of a stepping stone if you want to get a job later on in life.

In America, it is math, and it is color. Different is not wrong. (unless you think that you are the only country that is right)

And America begins with a capital letter, just like England.

Sorry to get off topic, but that was a bit of unnecessary provocation.
Actually, this was already way off topic.

When Johnson produced the first English Dictionary he needed to standardise all the speelings.
The freshly liberated US states took offence at being told how to spell words by England, so senate commisioned a new Dictionary, which deliberatly chose all the alternative spellings.

BUT neither Math nor Maths are real words anyway, its not a relevent comment

It comes down to; The US say Math is uncoutable. You have Math. and Then you have some more Math
The UK Say, yes it like NEWS. Its uncountable, but has a plural sounding name. Go speak to some forgien people, and wait till they tell you they have some "New" to tell you

Maybe it is because we hated the Brits (durring the rebellion of course) and wanted to mutate the language into something stupidly different. Welcome to American English where "nappies" means nothing and "motorcar" sounds weird. Besides, football is soccer but in America football is American Football.
