HI all.
Does anybody happen to know anyone who has used DarkBASIC (classic preferably) to make a 2D graphic adventure game or a point and click style game.

I'm particularly interested in anything similar to Myst, or the Dark Fall Games where it is in 1st person perspective, but i would also be interested in any 3rd person offerings such as Monkey Island style games...

If anyone knows of any demos or downloads (preferably with source code) of any of these types of games written in DarkBASIC, then I would be a very happy man indeed.
Cheers

There's not much to them really you know. If you had the code for one, it would mostly be graphics, and "You Talk To The Guy"

The point, and click part is just a few lines of code. The man walking to a mouse click is easy. The walking collision is just array collision. The clickable zones are just Top,Left, bottom, right same as button code. The collectable objects are just sprites with sprite collision. That's it!

Practice making tech demos using layers of 2D graphics, and moving characters around this stuff - it is a fairly simple process, but only once you know how your environment will work.

Purely 2D is not ideal, because your always stuck in a single resolution, and that's a shame considering the res possible on modern TFT's - I much prefer psuedo2d, like a 3D environment with 2D graphics, you can do so much with them, and they are resolution independant. Really just playing with this stuff will teach you how to write most of the game engine.
