I am trying to make a simple game of pool, but i've gotten stuck on making the balls hit each other and go in differnt directions, i can make them bounch off the sides just fine but when they hit each other they go crazy or get sucked into one another.

Can anyone give me any ideas on how to get them to collide correctly?

The easiest way would be to use a physics plugin and let that do all the work for you. Since you have posted this in the 2D section, I will assume you are using 2D. So, you might want to take a look at Fizz. It is a collection of functions that ChrisK has put together which allows you to easily encorperate Newton physics into a 2D world.
