There's only one day left before the deadline and my computer won't act as a server anymore!! My dad did something and messed up our network. Now I can't finish my multiplayer Retro Entry.

Can any of you guys help me finish? All I need is for someone with an always on connection to run my dedicated server program made with Dark Basic 1, and their IP address so I can change the target for the DNS that the game uses.

HELP!!

Dragon, it doesn't NEED to be multiplayer! you won't get more marks because it's multiplayer

Do not anticipate the outcome of the engagement, let nature take it's course, and your tools will strike at the right moment - from "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" by Bruce Lee

But in the origional game there was no AI. It was strictly a hotseat game. By making it a multiplayer online game I'm trying to stay true to the origional concept of the game and improve apon it. Like the rules say. I would have finished too if my dad hadn't screwed up the network.

I think you can try to run two games on the same machine, and use local ip to connect one to other. It Should Work!!!

Good Luck!

Yea it does. And that was how I was finishing my network code. But then my dad messed things up and now my computer wont act as a server anymore. So not even I can connect to my own games. I think it has something to do whith the ports. Where they won't accept any incomming game server data packets.

I think you just have to change the port from where your program runs and the dedicated server.
